The Alpha Upsilon Chapter has been a part of the Oklahoma City University campus for several years. In fact, we are entering our 52nd year as an organization at OCU!
We do several events throughout the year including participation (and a little competition!) in Homecoming and Spring Sing with the panhellenic organizations on campus, and we love pairing up with our brother-organization Delta Alpha Chi for fun events like our annual Halloween, Christmas, and formal parties! We at Alpha Upsilon also are avid participants in the OCU Wesley Center at their weekly Evensong Worship, service projects, and annual Love Not Hate Day. Though perhaps our favorite service event is our spring semester philanthropy week. A few years ago, some of our Kappa Phi members noticed that there is a lot of pressure to look a certain way and fit a certain standard. So, Kappa Phi began Beauty Week , on campus, to promote and encourage self-love and realizing inner beauty. Our philanthropy, which benefits the Oklahoma Eating Disorders Association, is our favorite way to be “lights in the darkness” in our campus community.
