The Beta Kappa chapter is going into its fifth year at Palm Beach Atlantic University. As Beta Kappa has been growing and developing each year in numbers and program, we are seeing our chapter blossom into something beautiful.
Beta Kappa has made many strides over the past few years and our chapter is proud of our commitment through service to the Palm Beach County community. We have partnered up with many organizations in Palm Beach County with which we serve every year. It is important to our chapter that we serve in as many different areas as possible, meeting the needs of different people and organizations from all walks of life. Beta Kappa has also in the past participated in World Vision's "30 hour famine". The first year we participated, we raised $600 to fight hunger in Africa and with matching grants that multiplied to $2400. Our chapter would like to recognize the organizations for which we serve throughout the year; Big Dog Ranch Rescue, Paint Your Heart Out, The Quantum House, Solid Waste Authority, Vinceremos Theraputic Riding Center, Christ Fellowship Church, Urban Youth Impact, Darcy Hall of Life retirement home, World Vision, Relay for Life, Big Heart Brigade and Place of Hope. Our biggest challenge as a chapter is reaching out for help from other chapters when we need it, but this year we vowed to do better; to step out of our comfort zone and grow, not just in numbers, but in our relationships and in faith. The Beta Kappa chapter is dedicated to leaving an impact and being lights in the darkness for our community.
