The Bible Says...

In Proverbs 3:9-10: Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be burning with wine. In 2 Corinthians 9:6-7: The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

As Christians, we are taught to tithe ten percent of our salaries; as a Christian organization, we act no differently. Each active sister pays $15 in national dues each school year; ten percent of their dues automatically goes to tithing.

Active Tithe Selection Process

Every two years, during National Council of Chapters, the actives in attendance propose many organizations that they would like to give their tithe to for each of the next two school years. After each proposal has been given, a vote is taken and two organizations are selected. Organization requirements are listed below.

Organization Requirements:
Christian Mission Project(s)
501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization

Do you know of an organization that would be an awesome choice for Kappa Phi’s tithe? If so, submit the form that is below. This form will be submitted to the National President for consideration at our next National Council of Chapters.

Hope Made Real

Hundreds of thousands of children who managed to live through the 1994 genocide and its aftermath in Rwanda are struggling for survival in desperately impoverished situations. Due to AIDS, disease, and poverty many younger children have become orphans or throw away children.  The number of vulnerable children in Rwanda is not decreasing. They are without help. Most of them live in loneliness, neither loved nor cared for.  Many children have been traumatized and the psychological consequences of invisibility and powerlessness is devastating. These circumstances overwhelm them. Most, feeling hopeless about their future, end up wandering and begging in the streets where they are routinely exploited, girls in particular.

Hope Made Real believes that all children are precious and are a sign of hope for Rwanda's future.

They need the love they deserve before they become blind and deaf by abuse and hardships.

Hope Made Real is dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned and abandoned children, and the poor and vulnerable people of Rwanda, Africa.
